Passing IQ

Passing IQ. Simple concept, yet few players actually understand it and display it in games.

It all comes down to timing. Great point guards know that the biggest difference between contested and uncontested shots is when the pass is made. Pass too early, and the shooter isn’t ready. Pass too late, and the defense can close out to force a tough, contested look. Pass on time, and it’s buckets.

Pro Tip: Before your next practice, spend 10 minutes writing down the names of your teammates and list where and when they need to catch the ball to be most dangerous. Great point guards know how to best feed their team.
